Bergmans Fisk sits beautifully by the sea in Norrsundet, about 30 km north of Söderfors, and is one of the best places in the area for rustic fish cuisine. Food is what it’s all about here. The menu focuses on the sea’s finest: fried Baltic herring, fresh fish, prawns, vendace roe and other delicacies from the Uppsala coast. Regular visitors rave about the tart and the freshly prepared starters. It’s home-cooked food made from good ingredients — no fast food, but cooking that shows the chef’s knowledge and pride.
The atmosphere is both relaxed and warm. The restaurant plays music with a coastal feel — plenty of Evert Taube — which sets just the right tone for a rustic fish evening.
