A fish restaurant with soul and a view
Bergmans Fisk sits beautifully by the sea in Norrsundet, about 30 km north of Söderfors, and is one of the best places in the area for rustic fish cuisine. It’s a genuinely warm and welcoming spot — the whole team radiates authentic hospitality, and you can tell they care about giving you a good experience.
Food is what it’s all about here. The menu focuses on the sea’s finest: fried Baltic herring, fresh fish, prawns, vendace roe and other delicacies from the Uppsala coast. Regular visitors rave about the tart and the freshly prepared starters. It’s home-cooked food made from good ingredients — no fast food, but cooking that shows the chef’s knowledge and pride.
The atmosphere is both relaxed and warm. The restaurant plays music with a coastal feel — plenty of Evert Taube — which sets just the right tone for a rustic fish evening. The location by the sea and the views mean you really feel like you’re at the coast. There’s also a shop selling fish specialities and accompaniments if you want to take something home.
The practical side: there’s ample parking outside, and the restaurant also has motorhome pitches. Open Tuesday–Sunday from 12:00 (Sundays close at 20:00). Call 0297-222 22 or check bergmansfisk.nu for more information.
This is a place where you can bring your guests without worrying what strangers on the internet think — the rating speaks for itself (4.7/5 from nearly 900 reviews), and everyone who’s been here loves it.
