A peaceful oasis with magical water
Ingbo Källor lies in Tärnsjö, south of Söderfors, and is a nature reserve that in many ways feels like a world far away. For those wanting to explore further, narrower forest paths lead to the other springs deeper among the trees.
At the car park there’s an accessible toilet, and a spacious wooden pavilion with tables and benches invites you to stop for coffee and a picnic. In summer you can also grill — just bring your own wood.
Living history by the water
Ingbo Källor is not just a natural site — there’s also history to discover. At the old mill site stands Ingbo Kvarn, a reconstructed splash mill powered by the spring water. During summer, flour is actually milled here, creating a living connection to how people lived and worked in this place long ago. The area also tells the story of August Holmberg, the last miller at Östra kvarn, who died in 1929 — a skilled carpenter and musician whose history gives the place a human face.
