A glimpse of works heritage
Lövstabruk lies about 25 km south of Söderfors, along Nedre Dalälven, and is one of the well-preserved works settlements that characterize this entire part of Uppland. A substantial industrial community grew here during the 18th and 19th centuries, driven by iron production and workshops along the river.

Unlike many other works that have nearly vanished, Lövstabruk lives on as a real community — not just a museum. You can see workers’ cottages, main buildings and old factories in their original setting, which gives an authentic feel for how life looked here a hundred years ago.
